Panoramatour to the Königsstand

Panoramic tour to the Königsstand.
This tour offers very good trail conditions and a wonderful mountain panorama.

You can expect nature trails and gravel paths combined with unique panoramic views.

But be careful, you will climb almost 900 metres in altitude over 6.5 km on this tour, which is only occasionally interrupted by flat sections.

Your tour starts at the parking lot of the Garmisch cemetery. You start walking in a westerly direction, past the "Bayernhalle". This is where the first short ascent starts. After 200 meters you turn right onto the gravel road, from now on you have a route of about 400 meters with a pleasant incline in front of you.

When you reach the fork in the road, continue uphill in the direction of Kellerleitensteig.

Before you follow the signs in the direction of the Kramersteig up to the Königsstand, take the opportunity to enjoy the panorama and take a deep breath.

The next 3.5 km and almost 450 meters of altitude will demand a lot from you, you wind your way up the mountain in serpentines, the panorama of the Alpspitze and Zugspitze always in view. The view from the Königsstand will definitely reward you for your efforts.

At the junction to the Kramer summit, keep to the right, now it's just on the flat path over to the Königsstand.
