Museum Werdenfels
The Werdenfels Museum in Garmisch-Partenkirchen was founded in 1895 from a private collection. Today it is one of the most important museums of its kind in Bavaria.

On an exhibition area of 1000 square meters, you can learn about the eventful history and culture of the Werdenfels region in the Werdenfels Museum.
In the Zugspitze room, you can admire the original 150-kilogram Zugspitze summit cross.
Museum Aschenbrenner
In 2006, an important museum opened its doors in the Zugspitz region: In the Aschenbrenner, the finest porcelain meets the delicate world of dolls and at the same time makes the hearts of nativity scene fans beat faster.
The Werdenfels family have brought the legacy of the founder Marianne Aschenbrenner to life. In addition to a fascinating nativity scene in the modern new building, the museum houses an extensive collection of porcelain and dolls on 300 square meters.
By the way: little puzzles, peepholes and test stations make a visit to the museum an exciting experience for younger visitors too!
