Winter hike from the Eckbauer to Wamberg
This is the perfect tour for everyone who likes it quiet and leisurely. You can go uphill in the historic gondolas of the Eckbauer cable car. From the top terminal of the cable car, the trail leads you through a charming winter landscape to Wamberg.
The base terminal of the Eckbauerbahn is next to the Olympia Skistadion on the left hand side. When you have reached the top terminal, follow the hiking path to the left in the direction of Wamberg. The path to Wamberg is very comfortable, only a short distance is slightly straining. In Wamberg, just walk along the street until you reach the junction at the centre of the village. If you would like to have a rest and stop for a bite to eat or a drink, turn right to Berggasthof Wamberg. The road to the left will lead you back to the valley and past St. Anna. The way from Wamberg to the Skistadion in Partenkirchen is well marked.
After the parking area on Kainzenbadstraße, turn left and walk along Auenstraße back to the Skistadion.
