Here you can run all year round: in spring on root-covered forest trails, in summer on panoramic high-altitude trails, in golden autumn through quiet mountain valleys – and in winter on easily runnable valley loops (when conditions are right). This makes GaPa your 365-day trail playground. Between Zugspitze, Alpspitze, Kramer, and Wank, there are trails of every length and difficulty level: short after-work loops, technically challenging single trails, crisp altitude gainers, and scenic pleasure routes. The combination of alpine scenery, varied geography, and well-marked trails makes every run special – whether you're just starting out or already deep into the trail game.
An annual highlight: the Zugspitz Ultratrail (ZUT) – Germany's largest trail running event. From beginner distances to ultra, from expo to goosebumps on the trail: this is where the community meets and celebrates the sport against a spectacular mountain backdrop.
