Beautiful circular trail with breathtaking views of the Zugspitze and Wetterstein massif
From the Wankbahn car park, keep right to reach the Philosophenweg. Turn left at the pilgrimage church of St. Anton and after a few metres turn right to Berggasthof Panorama. Then keep left to stay on the upper path. Turn right again onto the Josefibichl Tannenhütten path in the direction of the Tannenhütte. Once you reach the Tannenhütte, keep left to reach the Wank cable car mountain station and the Sonnenalm mountain restaurant via steep hairpin bends. Continue past the Wank summit in the direction of the Esterbergalm and then follow the path via Hüttelsteig to the Wankbahn middle station. From here, simply follow the signs to the Wank valley station.
