Trail Running
Round trip from the Olympic ski stadium via Eckbauer
A long, steep uphill challenge awaits you on this tour (with short flat sections to catch your breath). Once you reach the top, you have a short time to recharge your batteries before descending on serpentines until a really steep downhill section awaits you at the end and you return to the Olympic Stadium.
Directly after the toboggan run, the 3.2 km long ascent with an elevation gain of 500 metres awaits you. The route alternates between tarmac and forest path.
After approx. 1 km, you have a short flat section to take a deep breath. Take advantage of the flat sections to look around and enjoy the magnificent view of the Wank.
Once you arrive at the Eckbauerbahn mountain station, you will be rewarded for your efforts with a fabulous view of the Wetterstein massif and the Alps.
Keep right towards Berggasthof Eckbauer and follow the path above the restaurant.
From the restaurant, it's all downhill from here. The 2.9 km via Graseck down to the entrance to the Partnachklamm gorge is divided into serpentines (1.5 km), a forest path (450 m) and a very steep tarmac road (950 m).
As soon as you reach the entrance to the Partnach Gorge, you have almost made it, you have left all the metres of altitude behind you and can use the last 1.5 km back to the ski stadium to slow down and take it easy.
