Trail Running
Kochelberg Trailrunning Tour
On this beginners' tour, you will be travelling in the footsteps of the daring horn sledge racers.
A steep ascent awaits you. Once you have mastered this, a beautiful gravel path leads you slightly downhill to the Kochelbergalm.
A short trail across the large pastures provides an indescribable panorama before returning to the ski stadium.
Follow the asphalt path in the direction of Partnach Gorge, after approx. 400 metres turn right at the transformer station.
Ahead of you is the steep ascent on which the horn sledge riders usually plunge down daringly. On the 800 metre short section, you cover 110 metres in altitude - a real challenge for any trail runner.
Now you have to keep your eyes open so that you don't miss the path that leads off to the right. From here, it is pure running pleasure through the forest to the Kochelbergalm. Keep slightly to the left to descend the steps to the tarmac path.
Before the horse pasture, there is a cross-country trail on the right with a fantastic view of the Wank.
Once you reach the cycle and footpath, you can already see the ski jump 1.3 kilometres away on the right.
Enjoy the view of the ski jump and the neighbouring Gudiberg on this section.
